Very nice Camille... Karen Tue, 18 May 2010 14:34:44 I think your concept and idea for The Hunger is incredible and unique. However, I went to the dinner on Friday evening, May 14 for the 9:30pm seating and am a bit aprehensive to inform you that we were greatly disappointed. The room was fantastic and the decor was superb. The food was tasty and served in a very polite manner..However, the noise level was unbearable and the crowd was something to be desired..As a huge NYC foodie and based on your description of what The Hunger would be, I was looking forward to sharing an evening with fellow Foodies, talking about our experiences, sharing favorites places and meals and meeting new people. However, the room was filled with a 20-something party crowd that was clearly there on their parents credit card. They got up from their table all evening and talked, screamed and screeched all dinner long as if they were at a meatpacking district late night club. We were not even able to hear the servers nor the person next to us speak. It was so painful to the ear that we left before the dessert course was served.. I wish it would have been a better experience because as I stated above, I think the concept was incredible and the execution was great. Good luck on your next one. Unfortunately, I wont be returning nor will I suggest it to my friends or colleagues.
