Camille,
Many, many thanks for your lovely submission to Thank You Gourmet. I think many will find themselves nodding their heads in agreement when they read your words...and wishing they lived close to you so they could frequent your restaurant.
Again, thank you.

Looking at your pictures made me think, wouldn't it be great if you could smell and taste the images on your computer? Very nice Camille...

I think your concept and idea for The Hunger is incredible and unique. However, I went to the dinner on Friday evening, May 14 for the 9:30pm seating and am a bit aprehensive to inform you that we were greatly disappointed. The room was fantastic and the decor was superb. The food was tasty and served in a very polite manner..However, the noise level was unbearable and the crowd was something to be desired..As a huge NYC foodie and based on your description of what The Hunger would be, I was looking forward to sharing an evening with fellow Foodies, talking about our experiences, sharing favorites places and meals and meeting new people. However, the room was filled with a 20-something party crowd that was clearly there on their parents credit card. They got up from their table all evening and talked, screamed and screeched all dinner long as if they were at a meatpacking district late night club. We were not even able to hear the servers nor the person next to us speak. It was so painful to the ear that we left before the dessert course was served.. I wish it would have been a better experience because as I stated above, I think the concept was incredible and the execution was great. Good luck on your next one. Unfortunately, I wont be returning nor will I suggest it to my friends or colleagues.

Hello Karen,

I truly apologize for your lack of a complete positive experience. Its true the seating you attended was fully booked with a group of friends celebrating a birthday.

Our first Hunger although successful did come with its share of first time goof ups. Your comments mean a lot to us it is with people like yourself who put the time in to share your truthful experience that we perfect what we offer to our customers.

I would like to extend an invitation to our next one with hopes we can make it up to you. If you would be so kind as to accept our offer please send me your direct email. I would as well like to send you a thank you package.

All the best,
Camille

Chef Camille -

You are a true class act!! Although my intention of leaving feedback was never to receive an invitation to return, I appreciate the offer. I know this concept has such amazing potential and with your talent, experience and vast fan following, I believe it will truly become a success and something NYC foodies will covet. All great concepts have their first run "tweaks" in order to learn, grow and establish the original vision.

I look forward to getting that second chance to have a first impression of The Hunger. Thank you!
